Timezone backed up towards the outside of the dragon in a rewind, kinda wanting to rest for a second. For some reason, a few supers were looking up so he followed their eyes, what was going on? For a few seconds he couldn't find out what he should be seeing but when he found it, the dragon was already biting down.
Timezone stumbled backwards, shaking from head to toe. "W-Who was t-that!?" Wait, who cares? Someone literally just died in front of him! "T-Timezone, just k-kill the dragon and then... I don't know, just kill this thing!" He ran back inside the dragon, starting his fast forward again so his attacks will be much more effective.

Making the hole worked for some, but not for everyone. When he saw the Dragon consume one of his brethren he flinched, recoiling from the sight as tears welled up in his eyes. Nothing they did was enough, every move it made more and more people died, and now. And now one of them died too... He hadn't been close to him, but he was still a brother in Justice, and considering how few people actually were Supers. One of the people that knew what it was like for him. Worse than that though, as the body turned to dust, being sucked into the black hole and scattered into the wind. He knew there was nothing he could do. Without a body there was no way to bring him back, no way to make this right.
All of his memories, hopes, dreams, passions were snuffed out. Gone forever. His thread had been ruthlessly cut from the tapestry of life right before his eyes. And he was powerless to stop it. What was the point of any of this if he couldn't even save someone that was in front of him? What was the point of having these abilities when people were just going to die anyways? He only had one chance, one hope. He needed to get rid of that black hole that was trying to destroy everything. Trying to take everything away.
Light enveloped him and the pole that he'd been holding onto with the shift of gravity, his power keeping him stationary for now as his eyes shone with a brilliant light once more. Focusing in on the organ. That thing had to be the cause of all of this. If he could just rewind it then the black hole should vanish.... He had to believe that. Anything else meant that Stunt Double was gone for good.

Without her bow or her gun, down to just what she’d stuffed in her pockets, there was little now that Limen could do against the dragon. All she was left with was standing back here, watching the monster give its last throws of life while the supers fought with their last efforts, hoping that it didn’t come over here. She felt useless. She couldn’t be of any more help to Sanduleak, nor could she aid Gilgamesh in the fight. The lives of her friends were out of her hands and there was nothing she could do about it.
Limen simply backed away from Sanduleak. She was not going to interfere with someone who knew how their power worked and what their limits were better than she did, and she had to keep her attention on the dragon’s blinding moves. If it did attempt to attack her or her downed ally, she was going to grab him and run.

HaLOS zoomed in further in order to get a closer look at the dragon’s mouth when all of it happened. It seems that some super got the same idea that HaLOS had before and decided to jump in the dragon’s mouth. Such foolish human, they’re so wrap-up with such stupidity that they didn’t even think thing through like the so-call genius that they are.
But at the moment, it isn’t the time to analyze how stupid and fragile human being is; the dragon is still breathing after all the damage that it took so far. And it seems that the dragon decided to pull a last ditch effort by making a miniature black hole in its mouth. If HaLOS need to stop the dragon from throwing the black hole out, it simply need to defeat it before it does so. Scanning the blood of the dragon, HaLOS confirmed that it is very volatile, and react with the air around it almost instantly.
“Confirm potential target; activating Scorch_420 weapon system.”
HaLOS then open the hatch behind the bulldozer and reveal a large flame-thrower weapon and aim it at the inside of the dragon. If the blood is flammable, then the inside would be scorch to the point of unrecognizable. It need to do this fast, or the inside flame might catch the other area on fire as well.

The sickening crunch of bones breaking shattered the sky, taking many a super aback at the gruesome fate of one of their own as the whale devoured a super in two bites. Awenydd felt her stomach churn, breath catching in her throat as her song stopped. Though she didn't know who they were, their death was a reminder of how fatal this fight, and their determination to see it to its conclusion, would be.
Shifting the grip on her guitar, she felt herself being pulled along with everything around her towards the vortex that promised their doom if they didn't stop it. The thing was dying, it had to be, and she refused to let it continue without giving it hello.
The song she plays is more somber, focusing instead on the damaged parts that seemed most vulnerable as their numbers grew smaller with every passing minute. The time to strike was now.

Kaz grunted as he was suddenly knocked out of the belly of the beast and sent flying away. To add injury to insult, it smashed him hard into a bunch of buildings. Along the way, he was showered with the monster's blood and dismembered organs, causing serious burns that burnt practically all of Kaz's shirt off, leaving it in tatters. He didn't have time to care much for that, as the impact knocked all the wind out of his lungs and caused serious pain to shoot out from his back. His time flying through the air was put to an abrupt end when he landed on the roof of a half-wrecked building. It was more of a crash than a landing, and he was sputtering blood from his mouth and nose.
Looking up, he could see the others giving it their all to take down this monstrosity. An admirable effort, though Kaz wasn't too sure if it would work well enough. As he gazed closer, he noticed a lot of the supers tangled in the creature's weird tentacles. Lazy bums, he had half a mind to cut them free so they could join the others. Shifting into the shadows once more, he targeted those tendrils, randomly popping out to slice at them, hopefully freeing its victims in the process.

Giza almost felt cringe when he saw the dragon grab onto one of the super, and with one swift bite, completely severe the super in half. He didn’t have a chance to look at who the dragon just gnaws upon, but at the very least he knew it wasn’t Miss Aurora since her aurora is still here.
“Aw geeze, what a way to go,” he said.
The dragon seems like running on fume at this point when it decided to pull the same trick that it did a while ago: making a black hole in its mouth. The amount of suction was so strong that Giza has to take cover and hand onto the closest anchor point to avoid being sucked in. In the mean time, he need to find a way to make the dragon release the other supers that it got in its swarming tendrils mess before another one got caught up in them.
As soon as he peek out from underneath the cover, he got an idea to use the dragon’s black smoke swirling around the black hole against it. Focus his attention to them, he cause the smoke to erupted into a swarm of bees that congregate around the tendril of the dragon. Hopefully this will distract the dragon enough that the other supers can deal the killing blow before the black hole is finally unleash.

Dullahan's rocket was beginning to break apart from the stresses of the maneuvers it was pulling combined with the damage from the dragon's attacks. On top of that, he was running low on ammunition at the very moment when everything was depending on a strong final attack.
Fortunately, he had one last contingency plan. He spiralled into the hole in the dragon's belly, rocket sputtering as he crashed into the innards, embedding himself deeply.
Even if he was low on bullets, he had plenty of fuel left. Without hesitation, Dullahan activated his self-destruct sequence.

As the black hole in the dragon's mouth grew, the supers rushed in to stop it. Azoth's power deprived it of matter, slowing its growth, but the dragon wasn't relying on conventional physics. The hole continued to expand, the dragon opening its mouth wider and wider to accommodate it.
But Unhallow's power was finally having an effect, weakening the organs deep inside the dragon that it used to control its powers. Purity's light warred with the sphere's darkness, and Toko's enchanted bullet hit just the right spot inside the dragon. The black hole shifted a few millimeters to the left.
In that instant, Anonymous saw images flashing through the creature's mind. Scenes of unpowered people going about their daily lives, both happy and sad. Scenes of powered people fighting - Anonymous even recognized himself in one of them. Scenes from months ago, even years ago, rushed through the dragon's mind.
Then, the power being used to form the black hole slipped outside its control. There was a deafening bang as the sphere collapsed in on itself, then an overwhelming shockwave, obliterating the dragon's head.
Even without its head, the dragon still fought fiercely. Streams of distortions, wild and uncontrolled, luckily missed most of the supers. Only Misty was hit, and her power meant she wasn't affected for long. Tendrils reached out, grasping desperately. They managed to get hold of HaLOS and Hooded Siren and began to pull them in. The dragon's black blood was everywhere, drenching Timezone inside and pouring through the tendrils in an attempt to kill off Lobisomem and the others captives before the battle could end.
But with its wounds stacking up, the dragon couldn't hope to hold its own against the city's defenders anymore. With Lobisomem and Geata fighting from inside and Khan, Arcanum, Double Dealer, Awenydd, Kazuki, Giza, and Anesthesia fighting from outside, the tendrils were quickly being torn to shreds. The entrails reached out, trying to entangle the rescue team rushing in, but Sanduleak's surge of illusions was distracting enough to grab the trapped supers and get them out of there.
And it wasn't a moment too soon. The space inside the dragon began to quiver as Canary Claw, Blue Jay, Gilgamesh, Dullahan, HaLOS, and Timezone tore apart its vulnerable innards. Outside the dragon, even the more durable strange organ that had produced the majority of the distortion effects was failing, torn to pieces by the combined efforts of Nemesis, Titan, Bloodbath, Double Dealer, Passion, Aurora Disicio, and a swarm of hungry cats.
The dragon's power failed all at once. The enormous space inside its body collapsed, flinging out all the supers inside at high speed. The dragon itself followed suit, curling into tortured shapes as the power animating its muscles failed, and then the impossible molecules that constituted its biology all fell apart at once, turning the beast into an enormous fireball.
The heat was so intense that even the more durable supers were forced back. But the rising smoke was gray now, not black, made of more mundane substances. The dragon's cells that had entered the supers' bloodstreams fell apart as well, the heat of their collapse barely noticeable, and the power that was preventing those scrambled by the dragon's distortions from healing also faded. Those who had been hurt wouldn't feel better immediately but at least now they could heal.
The smoke from the dragon's death began to clear, revealing a blackened pile of exotic organic compounds as physics had taken over following the impossible creature's end. The dragon had been utterly destroyed.
However, smoke still rose from the rest of the suburbs. The dragon's trail of destruction had left scars on the city that might never heal. The sky had begun to turn pink to herald the sun's presence beyond the mountains to the east. All that remained was to see how the city and its supers would cope, and how they would prepare for the inevitable next attack.

Dullahan's rocket exploded just as the space inside the dragon collapsed. Shrapnel went flying everywhere so violently that it didn't look like anyone inside the miniature rocket could possibly have survived.
However, the more perceptive would notice a small black bundle, roughly head-sized and head-shaped, thrown clear of the blast. It bounced along the ground before finally rolling to a stop against one of Aurora's metal boots.

Big Martin was woken up a large, wet slab of tissue sliding across his skin, which turned out to be a lion licking his face. Not the strangest way he'd been woken up, but it came close. All right, all right, you can stop now! I'm all right!
With a satisfied growl, the massive cat stepped away, sitting down and giving him a questioning look. A whole horde of cats had gathered around, staring at him intently. As he sat up, a chorus of meows greeted him. He looked back at them all, dazed. Did you get the fishy?
The lion shook its head, replying in a deep baritone. "Fishy gone. Caught on fire. We're all hungry, now." Could be worse. We'll rob a bank or something, and buy you all some Fancy Feast. My treat.
This announcement was greeted by another round of meowing, at least twice as loud as the first. Martin stood up, and leaned on the lion for support. Okay. His legs hurt, his midsection hurt, his everything hurt. I need to get out of here. Big guys, you come with me, I could use a ride and I don't trust the other humans enough to leave you around here. Little guys, look for humans, try and rescue as many as you can until I'm out of range. Tabitha... you deliver this.
From his trouser pocket, he pulled a half melted wad of plastic, and ripped it open to reveal the folded slip of paper he'd placed inside. Thankfully, it didn't seem too badly burnt. He handed it to a small grey cat with an odd stain on one side of her fur, who took it gingerly with her mouth and ran off to find her target. Within a minute, the cats had dispersed. A squadron of huge predators bounded off towards the city, a prone man clinging to the back of one. The others scattered, sniffing about the wreckage of the battlefield to track down any survivors. One in particular searched for a particular smell, gradually making her way to Limen . When the cat found her, it rubbed against her leg, and dropped a folded slip of paper at the super's feet. It would read as follows: Two days time, northeast edge of the slums by the docks, 6:30 PM. They'll find you, you follow them.

Everything moved quickly as the dragon's life ended. The tendril holding her disappeared, making her fall to the ground. As the dragon collapsed into itself and smoke filled the air, the super began to leave the area. Harmony and balance had returned to Emerald City. She was no longer needed here. It was when she had just left the smoke when she noticed another super laying in a ditch. She had seen him get shot out of the creature right before it burst into flame. Her curioustiy piqued she walked down into the ditch and knelt beside him. They wore a strange mask that resembled to jaw of a skeleton and had injuries everywhere. Balance sighed and laid her hands on his form.
Closing her eyes, Balance drew out what was left of her powers. His injuries were severe but it wasn't anything too bad. definitely ones that would require rest and some banages. That was good, it meant that she would be able to handle them. As the stranger's wounds healed she could feel them appear on her own body. Blood bubbled up and trickled over her lips as all of the stranger's wounds disappered. She might be down longer then she thought. Crud. Oh well at least it meant this stranger lived. He was just trying to protect his city. He did not need to die today and Balance would make sure he didn't. As she finished transferring all his wounds onto herself she coughed up blood. Great. That will be hard to explain away. She gently took her hands off the skeleton masked man and smiled weakly.
"T-there, you're healed. You should get out of here while you still c-can."
The dark haired girl stood up, her legs now wobbly as she got used to suddenly having injuries. She might need to see a professional this time. She smiled once more as she looked down at the stranger she healed.
"T-take advantage of your s-second chance."
With that she turned around and walked away, leaving the desiccated downtown behind.

The attacks pounding the dragon was like a show before Bloodbath's eyes, forcing a smile on his face even as he was slowly drifting toward the black hole.
Then it blew up.
The man flew back, whimpering as he slammed into the ground. His bloodstream was splattered all over his face and chest, that was going to be hard to clean off later...
A few blinks was all it took for the facts to sink in. He had killed a dragon. He killed a horrific dragon, and took its blood too!
He raised one arm, ignoring the fact one arm still laid flopped ungracefully onto the side, and searched his wrist for something special. His eyes flickered as he spotted flecks of almost black blood in his veins, the burning blood that he should have wanted it all out, but he wanted it in.
Imagine what you can do, if you can do this!
He kicked himself into a sitting position, body rocking as a low giggle shook him. "Hehehe...haha...I-I'm good, I'm u-useful!"

Lobisomem screeched and lashed out even harder as the burning suddenly increased, probably trying to kill them and the various supers trapped in its grasp. A few seconds later, however, and they were suddenly launched out.
The sight of the flaming dragon was magnificent, Lobisomem would have been ecstatic if they weren't currently spiralling out of control. Amazingly, they didn't collide with anything on their flight path, simply bouncing off the floor before slowly skidding to a halt.
They lay still, panting as they tried to assess just how hurt they were. Their chest was actually going number, but Lobisomem took that as a bad thing, breathing hurt, their mouth hurt, and the burns strewn around their body hurt in ways Lobisomem didn't know could hurt.
They let their eyes drift upward as sunlight started reaching their body, had they really fought all night? They let their eyes flicker closed as their mind started going to subjects they didn't care to think about right now. All they wanted to do was rest...
